Safety At Work
Make sure that you understand and follow all safety rules at all times.
Wear protective clothing, including a helmet, goggles, and boots when your work exposes you to hazards.
Wear gloves, a mask, and safety goggles when handling dangerous chemicals.
Wear a mask to protect your lungs from inhaled fumes or particles if you work in a dusty environment.
Check any machinery you operate to make sure that the required guards and sheilds are in place.
Make sure that equipement like ladders and scaffold towers is checked regularly, and replaced when necessary.
Have all electrical equipment serviced regularly, and make routine checks of cables, plugs, and sockets.
Make sure that operators of dangerous machinery do not become overtired.
Train employees in first aid, and make sure that every employee knows who to contact in an emergency.
Report all injuries immediately to your supervisors.
Make sure that all staff are familiar with evacuation procedures and escape routes in case of an emergency.
Take all recommended screening test to check for early signs of work- related illness.
