If you are infected
1. Do not donate blood, semen or organs (kidney, cornea, etc.)
2. Inform sexual partners. Avoid penetration, otherwise, always use a condom.
3. Do not share syringes or needles.
4. Inform any doctors or dentists consulted
5. Consider pregnancy carefully.
6. Cover any cuts or scratches with a dressing until healed.
7. Do not share toothbrushes, razors or sharp instruments
8. Seek early and correct treatment for STDs.

If you are HIV infected, it is important to take care of your physical health to decrease the risk of progressin toward a symptomatic form of AIDS
1. Adopt a healthy diet
2. Exercise regularly
3. Avoid alcohol and tobacco
4. Avoid stress
5. Avoid all forms of infection if possible because they could compromise your health
6. Do not use illicit drugs
7. See your doctor regularly.
